•Tht. weather has been exceedingly bolsterotis during the past few days, the wind .blowing from between north-west and ' «outh-we.st. • On Wednesday night there was a heavy downpour of rain, which continued almost without intermission until ve.sterdav morning. The wind then, suddenly shifted into the north-east, blowing a strong breeze, with a continuous rain. Yesterday morning Queen-street, and anumber "of low-lying streets in the city -wore in a, state of flood, but no damage beyond the flooding of a few cellars was reported. The steamers and sailing vessels arriving from the coast yesterday report a. hard blow from the north-east prevailing •;. on the coast, with heavy rain squalls and, r thk'kt "dirty weather.
