CROQUET.

From now onwards croquet players will be kept fully engaged. Attention is being given to the new rule for starting and the different rule about wiring, these, two rules being the only really new ouos in the book on tho game lately published. The Auckland Croquet Club opens for play to-day, when the members will be the euests of the bowlers. The lawns of this club look very fit. New • paths have been made and improvements generally effected. Mr. Sydney Nathan is president for the Reason, Messrs. Alexander, Easton, and Coutts vice-presidents, Mrs. T.
