STEAMER CENTENNIAL MISSING.

SIXTEEN DAYS FROM LAUNCESTON TO NAPIER. Captain- C. E. Fleming, the local Superintendent of Mercantile Marine, leceived the following telegram yesterday from the secretary of the Marine Department, Wellington:—"Please request masters of vessels 'leaving Auckland to keep a look-out for the s.s. Centennial, now 16 clays out from Launceston to Napier." The Centennial is a wooden steamer of the following dimensions:—Length, 95ft; breadth, 19. lit; depth, 7.6 ft; tonnage, 89. She has engines of 40 horse-power.
