The Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's Spring Meeting is dealt with in an excellent picture of the grandstand and, spectators, and pictures of the winners of the principal events.. The opening of the Hastings bowling green is shown in two fine groups of bowlers and visitors and some interesting'snaps of , players. • ' The disaster .to the barque Lutterworth in Cook Strait is depicted in a striking view of the vessel lying dismasted at the Wellington Wharf. The double-page consists of an imposing panoramic 'of the main buildings of New Zealand's International Exhibition at Christchurch and a superb panorama of the famous Martha lode on the Waihi goldfield. The Pakuranga' Hunt Club's Point-to-Point Steeplechases are illustrated by a fine jumping picture and portraits of the winners of the principal,events. There are quite a large number of specially interesting miscellaneous pictures, including several beautiful views of scenery in different parts of New Zealand, a fine picture of Solution (winner of the Craven Plate), a group taken at Miramar, Wellington, at the, close of the golf season, portraits of the late Mr. Rose (Assistant-Secre-tary of the Post and Telegraph Department) , and the murdered -Papaka-io: schoolmaster, Mr. W.
