DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES.
ST. LEO'S HIGH SCHOOL. AT the invitation concert given by the pupils of St. Leo's High School, Devonport, which took place on Tuesday night, the prizes won by the pupils during the year were presented by Father Furlong, as follows: —Book prizes : Christian doctrine, Dorothy Boylan ; general excellence in study, Donald Amodeo; conduct, Margaret ColKan ; attendance, Gladys Ewington and Archer Clelnnd. .Certificates of merit: Deportment, Gladys Grey; drawing and English, Dorothy White ; writing, Virginia: Walter; geography, N. MacCallum; general improvement, Nellie Phelan; nature study, Charles Woodhouse; religious knowledge, May Crane ; history, Mary Coyne reading, Aubrey C. Dormer; spelling, Bobbie Wynyard; arithmetic, Kathleen Roscoe. A special prize for religious knowledge (the gift of the Right Rev. Monsignor O'Reilly) was awarded to May Crane.
