Wellington, Thursday. In the course of his remarks in connection with the Hutt railway ceremony yesterday, the Minister for Railways (Sir J. Ward) said that preliminary work had been completed in connection with the Auckland-Penrose duplication. On this line the congestion, particularly in passenger traffic, was as bad as on the Wel-lington-Hufct line.
