Zealand in common with other parts of the. Empire, In fact, Now Zealand's proximity to Australia could be taken as a factor ii* stimulating any such movement.. Hil could! speak only in general terms, as the matter had nob come before him officially. It 1 must not be forgotten, however, that New 1 Zealand might, become a formidable competitor with Australia in barley, oats, horse feed, and other non-perishable agricultural products.
