RUTHLESS MASSACRE AT WARSAW, PEACEFUL PROCESSIONISTS CHARGED, MANY KILLED AND WOUNDED. PEOPLE REPLY WITH BOMBS. By Telegraph Press Association.— (Received May 0, 3.10 p.m.) London, May 2. A massacre took place ab Warsaw yesterday afternoon in connection with the May Day celebrations. A procession of 5000 workmen marched through the streets, carrying red flags and singing revolutionj ary songs. Otherwise there was no breach o£ the law. A squadron of cavalry appeared, but it did not attempt to interfere with the procession until it bad' the support of infantry. The squadron then charged the processionists with the sword, while the infantry fired volleys. . The hospital authorities admit that 31 of the workers were killed and 15 severely and many slightly wounded. It is reported that the police? carried away 60 of the killed and* wounded. Fifty-one of the processionists were .arrested and the red flags era seized. The injured include women and children. They used theit* knouts freely in the crowds. '<
A man fired a shot at an infantry patrol and the bullet went wide. The infantry, in return, fired indiscriminately, and killed 25 of the people and wounded 20.
Late in the evening a third collision resulted in the killing of Jour j of the workmen and the wounding of many others.
A bomb hurled at a Cossack patrol killed three soldiers and a policeman.
The Cossacks and the infantry, then fired repeatedly and caused numerous casualties.

Later a bomb was thrown, at a patrol, who fired, killing and wounding two people.
