PROSECUTION OF A BMITHFIELD FIRM. [ST telegraph,-— PRESS association.] CnnisTCHPitOH, Saturday. In reference to the cablegram regarding a Smithfield salesman being fined for exposing for sale some meat in Smithfield market, the Christchureh Meat Company has received a Sable stating that the meat in question was imaged in store. The owners refused to take delivery, and abandoned tho meat to surveyors. They evidently considered the moat sound and handed it to the Smithfiold I'ttlesuieu, I..it the authorities differed both from surveyors and salesmen, and consequently a line was imposed.
