A RETURNED TROOPERS SUICIDE.
[or T2LECRAPII.— ASSOCIATION.] CiinisTCHUJiCH, Sunday. A an" named John William Jones, aged 32 ▼ears, committed suicide yesterday by shooting himself through the head. He was a single man residing with his parents in Opuwa, ant' since his return with 0119 of bi& contingents from South Africa two years ago had done no work. He left homo yesterday morning about nine arid did not return, though he had arranged to go to Dunedin by express at eleven. Search was made, and his body was found by his two brothers late in ihe day. Deceased left letters announcing his intention of committing fiuicide. He had lately appeared to have something on his mind He was well-known horo b0.t.0 years ago as a champion amateur cyclist.
