BOAT ACCIDENT.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Hr.riT, Sunday. Two men, named Hendry Roderique and Donald -Met.ay, master and seaman of the cutter Variance, were supposed to have been drowned near Ruggedv Point, Stewart Island, on Thursday. An accident occurred when the me.-i were effecting a landing in the cutter's dingey, and at. first it was feared that both men had been drowned, but a telephone message, received from Stewart Island on Saturday night, conveyed the information that, both the men arc safe, Laving managed to swim ashore.
