AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE PORT.- WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25 , 1902,

About the usual amount of business has been transacted on the Stock Exchange since last Summary. All favourite investment stocks are firm, and late prices have been well maintained. The Devonport Ferry Company has had a fairly successful year, and pays the usual 10 per cent, dividend. Banks: These have been in much better demand. New Zealand* sold at £3 2s 6d, £3 ss, £3 6s, and £3 7s, and close with buyers at £3 6s 6d. Nationals have advanced to £* 3s, at which price there are buyers. Insurances: Good business in these. New Zealands sold at £3 19s, £3 19s 6d, £4, £3 19s 6d. and £3 19s, and close firm with buyers at £3 18* 6d and sellers at £4. South British have also been in demand, and sold at £4 Is 6d. £4 2s. and £4 2s 6d. closing with buyers at £4 2s. Nationals have sold freely at £1 Is 3d, £1 Is, £1 Is 3d, and £1 Is, closing with buyers at £1 0s Gd and sellers at £i Is

3d. Standards are wanted at 18s. NewZealand Accidents sold at £1 ss, but suddenly advanced to £1 7s, at which price sales took place. Gas: Auckland, fully paid, sold at £14. Sellers ask £14 2s 6d. There are sellers of part paid at £13. Thames Gas are wanted at £1 lis. Gisborne3 sold at £1 15s, and thereare buyers at £1 14s 6d. Shipping: Deyonport Perry are still wanted at £2, ex div., now payable. Northern Steam, contributing, sold at 7s 6d, and more are wanted at this price. Coals: A good business in this class of stock. Hikurangis sold at 8s 4d and 8s 6d, and there are sellers at 8s 6d. Taupiri Mines sold freely at 18s 9d, 19s, 19s 3d, and 19s 6(1, closing with sellers at 19s 6d and buyers at 19s. Westports sold at £4 17s 6d, and more arc wanted at £4 16? 6d. Timber: Leyland-O'Brions have been in demand, and sold at £1 13s. £1 12s 6d. and

£1 13s. and more are wanted at the latter price. Mitchelsons are offered at 16s 9d. Miscellaneous: .Riverhead Paper Mills have been in demand, and sold at £1 5s and £1 6s, closing with buyers at £1 5s 9d and sellers at £1 6s 6d. D.S.C.'s are also firmer, with sales at 10*. Milne and Choyce, preference, are wanted at £1 3s 6d. Tonson Garlicks sold at 19s, ex div. Avondale Brick and Pottery sold at £1 Is. Mining: The market for mining stocks has been dull. Waihis weakenod and sold at £5 17s 6d and £5 18s. Waihi Extendeds sold from 2s lOd to 2s, to 2s sd, to Is lid, to 2s. Waihi Souths sold at s£d and sd. Waitekauris sold at 3s, 2s Bd. 2s 7d, 2s 4d, 2s lOd. 2s 9d, 2s 3d, and 2s 2d. Komata Reefs sold at Is 4d and Is sd. Crowns sold at 13s, 13s 3d, and 13s. Woodstock's (19s paid) sold at 3s 6d. Tairua Broken Hills sold at 9s 6d and 9s 3d. Monowais sold at 2s 6d. Broken Hill (Waiomo) sold at 3£d and 4d.
