NOT DETRIMENTAL TO BRITISH INTERESTS. By Telegraph.Press Association.— London, April 30. Mr. Pieie, chairman of Karland and Wolff,, Limited, shipbuilders, Belfast, declares that Morgan's combine will prove beneficial to British shipping and in no wise detrimental to British interests. (Received May 1, 10.47 p.m.) London, May 1. Morgan's combine has been provisionally designated the Navigation Syndicate. The White Star Line admits that it agreed to join the syndicate on the basis of community of interests, subject to the shareholders' approval.
