MODEL MAORI VILLAGE.
[BY TELKfJR.UMJ.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. Tub proposal of the Government to establish a model Maori village at Pamoana, mi the Wangauui Kiver, where young natives who have already received some education may be instructed in manual and technical work, has the approval of the natives of the district. They have undertaken .to give every assistance in the mutter, and have also agreed to set apart 20 acres of -class land as a site fuc the villa--.', It i< proposed that the villagt) shall be occupied by 20 families, and that each shall have an acre. The necessary buildings will be erected by the Government without delay. A small rental will be charged for the tenements.
