COAL IN NELSON.
[BY telegraph.—press association.] Wanuanui, Friday. A telegram has been received by the Herald from Mr. Smith, the artesian well-sinker, who states that he has struck a 6ft seam of coal at the Puponga bore, Collingwood, Nelson. It is understood that Mr. Smith was engaged by a syndicate to bore for coal there.
