SCARLET FEVER.
[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. The Public Health Department finds there is a mild epidemic of scarlet fever all over the colony at present. The Department has now far-reaching powers to compel the enforcement of precautions, and will use them should any neglect on the part of local authorities be brought under notice.
