Many honours and promotions are being gazetted in connection with the China war. . ; '.■ Sir Claude Mac Donald has been made a knight. Commander C. R. Connor, who had charge of. the New South Wales Naval Contingent, and Commander F. Tickell, of the Victorian Contingent, have been made Companions of St. Michael and St. George. The services of the Indian princes who took part ■in the campaign, Lieutenant-General Sir A. Gaselee and other commanders are specially recognised.;
