THE ROYAL VISIT.
ENGLAND AND THE COLONIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. (Received July 26, 0.17 a.m.) , London", July .25. The Standard says the Royal visit has been equally valuable to Australians and enjoyable and instructive to the Duke, and Duchess of Cornwall. The loyalty of the colonies has become a passion. The remarkable change in the relations of England and the colonies is due more to the efforts of the colonists than to the political wisdom of England, whose latest recognition of the excellent service of the colonial naval contingents in China will, however, be highly appreciated. Perth, July 25. His Royal Highness the Duke of Cornwall yesterday unveiled a memorial in St. George's Cathedral to the memory of the soldiers who fell in South Africa. He held a reception in the afternoon, and at night there was a splendid display on the river.
