TAKAPUNA JOCKEY CLUB'S SPRING MEETING. The T.J.C. will inaugurate their spring meeting to-morrow, and should the weather prove propitious a large attendance can be depended upon, as there is material for a capital afternoon's sport. The programme to bo gone through consists of eight events, which will be run off in the following order : — Trial Handicap (one mile), Cambria Handicap (five furlongs), St. Andrew's Handicap 1 no mile and a-qunrter), Handicap Maiden Hurdles (one mile and a-half and 100 yards), Hack Handicap (five furlongs). Pony Handicap (six furlongs). Handicap Hurdles (two miles), Cheltenham' Handicap (five furlongs).' The first race is timed to be started punctually at one p.m. Mr. Wynyard notifies that horses will be conveyed free by the Ferry Company up to half-past nine a.m., but if shipped that hour will be charged for. THE RACING AT THE WELLINGTON MEETING. [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington', Monday. At a meeting of stewards of the Wellington Racing Club, the running of Frost in tho Hurdles on Saturday was again considered. At a meeting on the course it had been decided to disqualify the horse during the pleasure of the club, but the stewards now decided to disqualify the owner (Walter Best), tho rider (W. Ncary), and horse for 12 months. The stakes won by Melwood have been withheld, pending an inquiry, which will be held into his running on Monday.
