The Union Company's steamer Te Anau left Gisborne for Auckland at 9 a.m. yesterday, and should arrive about the same hour today. She leaves for East Coast and Southern ports at noon on Saturday. THE QUATIILAMBA. At. J. J, Craig's barque Qitathlamba arrived at Napier from Newcastle on Tuesday after a good passage of twelve days. On discharge of her cargo of coal she loads timber for Melbourne. THE SCHOONER QUEEN. The New Zealand Times of Monday last says:-" Mi. Somerville, of Auckland, . the owner of the schooner Queen, which has been lying idle here for so long, arrived by the Rofoiti on Saturday, and it is his intention to dispose of the little vessel if a purchaser can bo found, Captain Smith, Superintendent of Mercantile Marine, has ordered that the schooner shall be provided with some new sails and the damaged ones repaired, and the rail, bulwarks, and the staunchions in the port fort rigging be put in order before the vessel lie allowed to proceed to sea." SHIPOWNERS' LIABILITY. According to files by the Mariposa, a seaman named Frank Olsen has just been awarded a judgment n?ai!ißt the schooner Uranus for lOOOdols. This amount, the report says, is to compensate Ols™ for personal injuries received while a member of the Teasel's crew, He was struck by a boom which broke loose, and sustained a fracture of one of his legs in two places. Tho accident occurred at sea while the vessel was about 500 miles distant from Port Townseml. Olsen requested to be taken to that port and placed ashore for medical treatment.
