We regret to learn that the Premier is suffering in health from overwork, and that, under medical advice, he hat come up to Auckland, to get away from official worry and car®, with a view of obtaining much-needed rest at Te Aroha, and, probably, Rotoru:. Mr. Seddon will stay in Auckland for a few days before going to the country,'and will, no doubt, consult with the le'.ders of the Liberal party as to the course to be pursued in the approaching City by-election. It is his intention, while keeping in touch with public affairs, so far as knowing what is going on, to give both mind and body a rest. It is rather a bsd beginning for him that & deputation his been appointed to wait upon him on his arrival, with a view to concerting further measures for keeping the bubonio plague out of the colony.
On the arrival of the Rotoiti a special train was pub on to bring the passengers and the Southern and San Francisco mails to Auckland, and they arrived shortly before two o'clock this morning.
