The Americans hare entered San Tomas, an important town in the island of Luzon, 125 miles north-west of Manila, after a desperate fight with the Filipino defenders. Thursday Island, May 5. Eastern files state that the Spanish authorities are suspected of treacherously handing the gunboats purchased from thean by the Americans to the Filipinos, who have removed the guns and ammunition.
