FALL OVER A CLIFF.

[by telegraph.— correspondent.] OOEOMANDF.L, Friday. Captain E. Morton, of the Coromandel Fire Brigade, met with an accident on Rabbit Island, in the Guh, yesterday. He went out in the Falcon, and, with Mr. Dixon, landed with bis fowling pieces. The steamer then put off again with the fishing party, Mr. Morton had fired at a rabbit, and was running after it, reloading, when he missed his footing, and rolled over the ciilf. The fall was observed by one of the lady passengers, and the boat was put cshore, when Mr. Morton was found helpless oil the rocks at the foot of the cliff. He has been attended to by Dr, Cheeseman, who stites that the ankle has been severely strained, and the leg and body badly bruised. The cliff was little less than 100 ft in height.
