FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
[BT TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Ashburton, Monday. A MAN, whose name is supposed to be Seobic, a butcher on the Loughmore station, fell from the platform of a railway carriage on the train from Christchurch South tills evening, about a mile past Burnham. The train pulled up smartly on the engine" driver being communicated with. The man was found on the line dead, the wheels having crushed his head. The body was taken on to Asliburton by the same train. An inquest will be held to-morrow.
