A COROMANDEL HERO.
FIGHTING UNDER THE AMERICAN
FLAG. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] Coromandel, Monday. Mas. Arch. Kelso has received information at her eldest son, Hewson Broadgate, who is a native of Coromandel, was in active service in the American navy during the late ; American war. He distinguished himself on several occasions, and has been decorated with two medals, one from the United States Government, and the other from the city of Baltimore. Mr Broadgate has been in the United States navy for some little time.
