INTERCOLONIAL PASSENGER FARES.
[BY telegraph.—tress association.] Wellington, Thursday. Following the announcement that the Hud-dart-Parker and the Union Steamship Companies have decided to increase the intercolonial passenger fares comes a private message from Melbourne, stating that one of the Australian steamship companies is considering the advisability of entering the list of competitors in New Zealand waters.
