INDELIBLE MEAT MARKER.
[by telegraph.— association.] Wellington, Monday. A syndicate has been established to plaee on the English market an indelible meat marker, which will have tho effect of preventing other frozen mutton being sold as thab from New Zealand. The invention consists of a combination of cutting instruments by which " N.Z." may be marked all over the carcase, while at the same time the initials of the exporter may be also stamped. Every joint may thus be marked, and as tho mark is made before rigor mortit the advantage is that while perfectly indelible it does not have any injurious effect on the meat or the appearance of the carouse. It is proposed to work the invention -by charging a royalty or to sell it to any Government.
