THAMES NEWS.

[BY telegraph.— own CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Thursday. Till! following will represent the Thames Football Club in their match with Parnell on Saturday :— McGregor, J. McGregor, Goote, Young, McLean, Carter, Doutlin, Knight, Jellyman, Barkeek, Mcllwain, Cameron, Thomas, Way, and Ryan,

A sitting of the Assessment Court, before Mr. li. S. Bish, 8.M., took place this afternoon. On behalf of die Tlminea County, Mr. E. W. Holtia, County Clerk, attended and stated that there were no objections to the county valuation roll, which only required the judge's signature. For the borough there were objections of all classes lodged, though the time was taken up in deciding as to the values which were estimated considerably in excess of last year, where objectors appeared or were represented. There were in moeb cases small reductions, though the aggregate amount taken off will total comparatively a small sum.
