THE PETONE MURDER TRIAL.

[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] , Wellington, Tuesday, The Petbne murder trial again occupied the Court all day. Several witnesses were examined, bub scarcely any new facts were adduced. Henry Fleet, a nightwatchman, deposed that he passed Jones's house about eight p.m. on the night of the murder, ahd saw the shadow of a tall man on the window blind, He also noticed that the back door was open during the night, ahd tliht a light was burning. James Panhill said he passed Jones' place about a quarter past seven, and heard Jones talking to Bosher at that hour. Margareb Davies, of the Salvation Army, said Bo&her arrived at the Barracks about half-past eight on the night of the raurdor. The trial will probably last over a week.
