DROWNED AT SEA.
[by telegraph.— press association.] Wellington, Saturday. James Jones, second officer of the barque Coromaudel, was washed overboard and drowned about an hour after the tug cast off at Newcastle. Boats woro lowored, but owing to the heavy sea running the search was unsuccessful. Jones was 22 years of age, and a nativo of New South Wales.
