SUDDEN DEATHS.
[by telegraph,—prbss association.] Lyttelton, Sunday. An elderly man, named Henry Thomas Jones, dropped dead in the street on Saturday evening as ho was being conveyed to the hospital. Deceasod had been in illhealth for some time, and thocausoof death was heart diseaso. Ho has no relatives in the colony, bub has brothers and sisters residing in Hobart. Dunedin, Sunday. A man named John Erskine died cuddenly at Tapanui last night. He had been drinking heavily bofore going to Tapanui, bub nob since. The causo of death was inflammation of the bowols. Wellington, Saturday, Mr. Mowatt, Inspector of Machinery, died suddenly of heart disoase. Ho went to bed as usual, spparently well, and was found doad about midnight, His ago was 42. Deceased loaves a wife and family.
