. «... [by telegraph-own correspondent] Thames, Wednesday. The annual installation of officers of Sir Walter Scott Lodge, No. 15, N.Z.C., took place last ovening, the ceromony being performed by the Acting-Grand Master, Brother Fowlds, o! Auckland. Brothorß Past Masters Clark and Adams wero the presenting officers, and the following brethren wore duly invested and installed into office:—lV,M., Brother R. R. Monziesj D.M., Brother J. West, P.M.; 8.1 V., Brother R. J. Gillies; J.W., Brother E. J, Milnes; treasurer, Brother (J. S. Clarice, P.M.; secretary, Brothor A. Bruce; S.D., Brother J. Walters; J.D., Brother J. P. Williams; 1.G., Brother T. Wells; Tyler, Brothor E. 0. Lowe; steward?, Brothers Morrison and Hastings; organist, Brothor N. Pearco. The Acting Grand Master presented tho retiring W.M. (Brother J. West) with a Past Master's jewol on behalf of members of tholodge, and in doing so spoke in high terms of tho manner in which Brother West had conducted the business of the lorlgo. Brother Wesb suitably replied. The jewel is a very handsome piece of workmanship, and boars the following inscription :—" Presented to Brothor J. West, P.M., by tho brethren of Lodgo Sir Walter Scott, No. 15, as a mark of esteem."
