[Br TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Chuistcuurch, Saturday. At a meeting ot the Canterbury Progressive Liberal Association the following motion was carried unanimously :— '* That as the Minister of Education appears indisposed to introduce a measure granting the people of Canterbury greater control in the election of tho board of governors of the Canterbury College, this association make arrangements with private members to introduce a Bill giving effect to the will of the people." It was decided that a deputation should wait on Mr. Russell and Mr. Smith, M.H.R.'s, asking them to take joint action in the matter.
