INTERESTING PRESENTATION.
[BY TBLKORAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Timakc, Saturday. Mi:. A. M. Clarke, late superintendent ot the New Zealand Estates Company's properties in Canterbury, was to-day presented by his successor, Mr. K. D. Bain, on behalf of the managers of the different estates, with a handsome silver salver and other articles of plate, for Mrs. Clarke, in token of the esteem entertained for the former by his lato subordinates, and for the kindness and hospitality shown them by the latter. Several of the managers were present. Inspector Voale, manager of the Bank of New Zealand, spoke in the highest terms of Mr. Clarke, personally and as a man of business, and expressed the hope that relief from his arduous duties would result in the restoration of his health. Mr. Clarke will settle down near Temuka.
