The annual meeting of householders was held in the schoolhouse on the 23rd instant. Mr. John Torbet occupied the chair. The abstract of accounts was unanimously adopted, and showed a credit balance of £4 14s 3d. The chairman stated that he has written several times to tho Board of Education in regard to the probable cost of certain gymnastic appliances for the use of the school, but had received no reply to his letters ; after which the following persons were duly elected to be the new committee : Messrs. John Torbet (chairman), John Pye (treasurer), Thomas Brownlee, jun., James Given, and Alexander Clark.—[Own Correspondent.] MAUKU WEST.

At the annual meeting of householders, Mr. H. Crispe was voted to the chair, and read the balance-sheet and report for the past year, which were considered highly satisfactory, and adopted. The following were then elected as members of the new committee:— Messrs. Crispe, Johnston, and Wright, and it now remains for the Board of Education to appoint four more to make up the required number of seven.— Correspondent.] PATUMAHOE. There was only a small muster of householders here, and the old committee having been previously nominated, were declared duly re-elected for 1894 95.—[Mauku Correspondent.] KAUKAPAKAPA. A meeting of householders for the election of a school committee took place in the sehool on Monday evening. Mr. R Sinclair was voted to the chair. The balance* sheet for the past year showed a credit balance in Bank of New Zealand of £12 6s 4d. The following gentlemen were duly elected members of committee for the current year Messrs. Frank Dye, Charles W. Andrews, James Drinnan, Ralph Osb&ldiston, Gavin Shanks, j un., Morris Clark Henley, and Robert Sinclair.- At the conclusion of the above meeting, the newly-elected committee held their first meeting, and Mr. Robert Sinclair was again elected chairman. [Otrn Correspondent.] OMAHA. The annual meeting of householders was held on Monday, Mr. Chas. S. Clarke in the chair. Mr. Thomas W. Knaggs read the abstract of receipts and expenditure, which showed a credit balance in bank and in hand of £4 14s sd. The accounts were adopted. The following persons were elected for the school committee Messrs. John Smith (chairman, secretary, and treasurer), Richard Wood, Geo. Ashton, A. Dunning, D. Birdsail, H. Meiklejohn, and T. Williams. There was a large attendance of householders.—[Own Correspondent.] PUKEATUA. The annual meeting of householders was held in the Dairy Flat Schoolroom on Monday. Mr. F. J. Brooks in the chair. The following gentlemen wero elected as members of the committee for the ensuing year :— Messrs. F. J. Brooks (chairman) E. M. Clinton, L. J)ufty, W. F. Lees. G. Mann, J. Postlewaite, and A. Holland. Mr. F. J. Brooks was afterwards elected chairman and secretary. WAIUKU. The annual meeting of householders for the election of a school committee, took place on Monday in the Commercial Hall. Mr. J. T. Mellsop occupied the chair. The secretary, Mr. J. J. Deed, read the annual report and balance-sheet. The report showed the school to be in a prosperous state, and the finances showed a credit balance of £23 lis Id. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following were elected an a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs. T. J. Sedgwick, J. J. Deed, "J. Haufiing, J. R. McElwain, J. McFadyen, C. T. Barriball, and A. M. Barriball. The newly-elected committee met immediately after the above, and elected Mr. C. T. Barriball chairman, and Mr. J. J. WAIROA SOUTH. The annual meeting ot householders was held in the Wairoa schoolroom on Monday II Charles Willi&m Stephens was voted to fche chair, _ Mr. Crawford, the secretary, read the committee's report, and the abstract of receipts and expenditure. The accounts showed a credit balance of £17 4s 7d. The report read was very satisfactory, and was adopted unanimously. Eight candidates were nominated, and the results of the ballot were as follow Messrs. Atchison, 31; Sutherland, 28; Browne, 31; Henderson, 30; Pointer, 30; Lambert, 28; Hamilton, 19; Bell, 8. The first seven were declared elected. A meeting of the newly-elected committee was held immediately after, and Mr. Hugh Sutherland elected chairman, and Mr. S. A. Browne secretary and treasurer. The committee passed a unanimous resolution thanking Mr. D. Crawford for acting as secretary and treasurer for several years. [Own Correspondent.] WHAKAPIRAU.

The annual meeting of householders, to elect a school committee for the management or the two schools in this district, was held on the 23rd April, in the No. 1 School. Mr. W. Pivott read the balance-sheet for the year ending March 31, which was satisfactory, and adopted. Mr. W. H. Jackman, J.P., v.as unanimously appointed chairman. Owing to the absence (through illness) of Mr. W. Mcllraith, chairman of committee, the members present were unable to furnish the meeting with any report of last year's proceedings. Eleven gentlemen were nominated to serve on the school committee. A ballot was taken, with the following result: Messrs. Jackman, 28 ; Paige, 26; Avery, 26 ; H. Smith, 26; McMnrdo, 25; Somner, 25; Gray. 24; Chad wick, 22; Hamley, 20; Pivott, 19; R. Smith, 17. The first-named seven were duly elected. A meeting of the newlyelected committee was held immediately after, when Mr. W. H. Jackman was elected chairman of committee.—[Own Correspondent.] ■: , MULLET POINT. The annual meeting of the Mahnrangi Heads District School Committee was held in the school-room. Mullet Point, on Monday, the 23rd instant, Mr. J. Snell in the chair. The secretary read the abstract ot school fund accounts, which showed a credit balancS of £37 12s lOd. The balance-sheet was unanimously adopted. The following gentlemen were duly elected a committee :— Messrs. A. Algie, Richard Goldsworthy, Edward Morgan, James Laurie, James Tozer. James Snell, Angus D. Grant. A meeting of the committee was held immediately after the annual meeting, and elected Mr. A. Algie chairman for the ensuing year. Re the petition for the establishment of a new school at Pukapuka: After a good deal of discussion the committee decided that to erect a new school at Pukapuka would be the meais of crippling the two schools now in existence— namely, Mahurangi East and Mahuraagi West. A tender was Teeeived from Mr. J. Scott, for clearing the tea-tree on the site of the Mahurangi West schoolgrouud, and accepted, on condition that he sowed it with grass seed, after burning it off.—[Own Correspondent. J
