The following are the statistics for the Auckland Hospital:—dumber of patients on the 31st March, IS9'2, ]o*2 ; admitted during the year, 1052 ; total under treatment, 115*1: discharged, 938; died, 110; remaining on the 31st March, 1593, 106. There wore 790 males and 364 females. Total collective days' stay in Hospital, 37,176 ; individual xverage day's stay,32"2l; (daily average cost per head, 4s 4£d, less patients payments; 3s 3J(I for outdoor patients ; individual cases, *111 ; attendances, 3369. Revenue and exenditure. Revenue : From Gcvernir.eut, £2645 9s lOd ; local bodies, £'264593 lid ; bequests, £549 ; rents, £244 4s 10.1; patients' oayments, £21151 4s tid ; other sources, £31 4? 7d; total, £5166 13s Sd. Expenditure: £8166 10-> -Id. This Hospital has had a quiet and prosperous year.' Great improvements have been effected in the ventilation of the \v«rd«. There has been such an increase in the number of patients that the trustees are taking steps to increase the accommodation, and they have approached the Government for a grant for that purpose.
