MANUFACTURE OF BEET SUGAR.
— --* • [BY TELEGRAFH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington", Tuesday. A meeting of business men interested in the manufacture of beet sugar was held to-day. It was decided to urge the Government to have the operations of the Beet Sugar Act, 1884, extended for a further period of ten years. If the reply is favourable, a refinery for the manufacture of the article will probably be established.
