THE BEST WAY TO WASH FLANNELS.

At this season of the year, when our boys are continually wearing white flannels, it is as well to be quite sure of the best way to wash them. Boil two dessertspoonfuls of flour in a quart of boiling water, stirring it all the while so as to keep ib perfectly smooth. Pour about half this thin paste over the flannel articles, letting them soak for three or four hours. When this time has expired wash the articles in warm soapsuds. When clean throw into a pail of clean, lukewarm water, adding the remaining portion of the smooth paste. Add a little blue, rinse the flannel well, and dry at once.
