[by telegraph.— OWN correspondent.] , ' Thames, Tuesday.; At the Harbour Board meeting to-night the chairman (Mr. James Me Andrew) in referring to the finances congratulated the Board on their satisfactory condition, inas- \ much as that after ,s paying ? all outstanding liabilities there was a credit balanoe of £773 13s. ■'" A considerable amount of ' harbour improvements, etc., is at present beiiig carried out by, the Board, contracts having recently been let; for repairing and strengthening the ,'' Goods /, Wharf, and raising the silt wall, mid for these works over £150 was passed for : payment tonight. , , *
