BURGLARY AT HAMILTON.

[BY TELEGRAPH.—-OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Tuesday. A daring burglary was perpetrated last night, when the premises of Mr. C. T. Davey, storekeeper, were broken into and about '201bs of tobacco stolen. Entry was made through a small side window, which Mrs. Qualtrouph, who lives opposite, observed at an early hour this morning to have been broken open. She at once sent a messenger to Mr. Davey's private residence, acquainting him of the fact. The police were at. once called in, and now have the matter in hand, The only article as yet missed is the. above-mentioned tobacco.
