THE COMING MAN.
MR. BRYCE AS PREMIER.
THE YOUNG NEW ZEALAND PARTY.
OLD COMBINATIONS IMPOSSIBLE. [BY TELEdhAPH. —OWN COKRESPONDBNT.] Wellington, Thursday. It is reported that saveral of the candidates in the Sooth Island have declared they would be perfectly willing to follow the lead of Mr. Bryce at the head of new men. It ie stated to be a remarkable circumntanoe that the political fighting of the present election is being done by the younger n)en. With tho exception of Major Atkinson, the burden and heat of tho day is being borne by young and comparatively new men, highly talented. This fact is recognised with pleasure by many of the old political hands here. It ie thought that eithor Major Atkinson or Mr. Bryce, with new men, would be able to form a Government, but I have heard ou all sides that the old Atkinson-cum-Bryco-cum-Kol* leston Government would not last through a session. This is the first note I have heard of coming events.
