THE NEW ZEALAND INSURANCE ASSOCIATION.
[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. The Colonial Treasurer has just received a telegram from the Agent-General, informing him that the actuaries engaged in investigating the profits of the last quinquennial period of the Government Insurance Department find there is a surplus of £245,315, whereof they recommend for division £150,000. The Agent-General adds that the actuaries find that the results are much better than they expected. The investigation has shown that nearly 25 per cent, of the whole assets are surplus funds*
