FOUR MURDERS IN THE KIMBERLEY DISTRICT.

Four murders are reported from the Kimberley district. A Norwegian digger named Horing is in custody, charged with murdering his mate, Anthony Johnson, a German, and robbing him of 14 sovereigns, a bank receipt for 112oz of gold, horses, and other property. The body was accidentally discovered by a digger searching for buried rations. Deceased was shot twice in the head, it is believed when asleep. Horing states Johnson attempted suicide by shooting himself, and failing, asked Horing to "finish him," and he did so. Horing attempted suicide when in custody by opening a vein, and nearly succeeded. Captain Pitou, an old sailor, is reported to have been murdered by natives on the Robinson River, near King's Sound. His body has not been found. John Eatch, ex-polioeman, is in custody at Derby, charged with kicking a native to death on a station near Roebuck. The murder of John Du rack, or Driver,by natives, is confirmed.
