Passengers: Misses Warren, Mr. and Mrs. Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Pepperill and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Catte and two children, and fifteen steerage. For Wellington : Messrs. Andrews, Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins, Dr. Johnston, Messrs. Bolding, Musgrave, Crawford, Henderson, Burnand, Kitchen, Beaoh, and sixteen steerage. Brigantine Linda Weber, for Auckland. ( ARRIVAL OF THE ARAWA. PORT Chalmers, Saturday.— direct steamer Arawa, from Plymouth, via Teneriffe, Capetown, and Hobart, arrived at the Heads at 2 a.m. to-day, after ft splendid passage from Plymouth, including detentions, of 40 days 17 hours 19 minutes. Her actual steaming time was 33 days 15 hours 19 minutes. She brings 2063 tons of cargo for all ports, and 227 passengers, the health of all being excellent. No births or deaths took place on the voyage. She left Plymouth at 9 p.m. on January 2, and arrived at Teneriffe at 3.30 a.m. on the sth ; left at 5.30 p.m., and passed Cape de Verde light at 9.20 on the 10th ; crossed the equator in longitude 4'lo, and arrived at Capetown at 5 a.m. on the 22nd; left again at 2 p.m., and at 3 p.m. passed a large iceberg 1100 feet high and 5 miles long ; arrived at Hobart at 10 p.m. on February 8; left again at 11 p.m. on the 9ih, and crossed the bar at 7 a.m., her draught being 22 feet. The passengers for Auckland are as follows Saloon : Miss Chapman, Tickell, Broderick. Second cabin : Mrs. Webb and family (5), Miss Johnstone, Mr. and Mrs Carlton, Messrs. Hopper, Godwin, Black, Griffiths. Steerage : Mr. and Mrs. Mudge, Mr. and Mrs. Sayers and five children. Misses Spronie and Lowe, Messrs. Chetham, Briskty, Nelson, Drummond, Henderson (2), Spronie, Nix, and Parker. She has 517 tons of cargo for Auckland. DEPARTURE OF THE DORIC. Wellington, Saturday.—Sailed : S.s. Doric, for London, via Rio de Janeiro. She takes a full cargo, and the following passengers First Saloon : Miss White, Mr. and Mrs. White, Mr. and Mrs. Toomey, Mr. and Mrs. Russell and family (3), and nurse. Rev. C. Platts, Messrs. McLean, Blomfield, Harrison, Sibary, Brown, and Deason. Second Saloon: Miss Banche, Mesdames Banche, Carter, and Norbury, Messrs. Findlay, Glegg, Lamb, Kemp, McColl, Holm, Girling, Robinson, Henaeford, Bakeioan, and Master Banche. Steerage: Misses Copper, Woaley, and Pike, Mesdames Robertson, and two children, and Norman, Mr. and Mrs. McKenna and family (2), Mr. and Mrs. Carson, Messrs. Johnston, Hogan, Miller, Days, Rarlsy, McPhee, Lee, Carey, Ruddock, Gore (2), Hunter, and Printer.
