Adjourned till Wednesday, 3rd January. Prohibition Order.—Mary Harper applied for a prohibition order under the liicensiDg Act against her husband, William Henry Harper, of .Newton-street, Newton. The evidence of Mary Harper and Constable Clark showed that Harper was addicted to drunkenness, and was wasting his living, and disturbing the peace of his family. The application was granted. [Before Mr. W. J. TTurst. J.P.] Obstructing tiic. Railway Lint:.—Peter Neilson was brought up on remand, charged with placiDg an obstruction on the Auckland and Onehunga railway line at Mount. Smart on the 28th November, ISS2. Neilson wis also charged with a breach of the Vagrant Act, by having no lawful visible means of support. Sergeant White said that the evidence in these eases had been taken about a week previously. The police had not been able to get further evidence as to obstructing the railway line, and they, therefore, had only the charge of vagrancy to prefer. Sentensed to fourteen days' imprisonment with hard labour.
