NO-CONFIDENCE MOTION. Melbourne, June 15. In the Legislative Assembly this evening Sir Bryan O'Loghlen stated that the Government had resolved to treat the motion introduced by Mr. Francis, that the proposed remission of taxation was inconvenient and undesirable, as one of want of confidenee. The Premier further stated that the Government had resolved to modify the proposals for the remissions of taxation set forth in the budget speech before Mr. Francis , motion was tabled. The House has adjourned to Tuesday next. VICTORIAN POLITICS. Melbourne, June 15. In the Legislative Assembly last night, Mr. Francis submitted a resolution setting forth that the proposed remission of taxation as announced in the Treasurer's budget, was inconvenient and undesirable, in view of the improbability of there being a surplus at the end of the present financial year. Mr. Francis declared that he did not intend that his resolution should be deemed a vote of want of confidence in the Government. Sir Bryan O'Loghlen moved the adjournment of the debate, and the House rose. A NEW COMET. Melbourne, June 15. A comet was visible here shortly after sunset yesterday.
