[IJefore 11. C. llarstow, Esq., R.M.] Thomas Smith was lined lOs and costs ror riding on his dray without having the reins of his leading horse in his hands.—George G. Walter, of the Globe Hotel, pleaded "uilty to two charges of suffering liquor to bo drunk 011 his premises, known as the Globe Hotel, I'apakura, on Sunday, the 13th instant, and was fined £4 and costs. — Emily Hose f'.herrens was brought up as a neglected child, and ordered to be seut to the Industrial School forthree years, to be brought up in the faith of the Church of England. Civil Cases.—The only defended ease was Muir v. Fitzpatriok, for trespass of cattle, aud a nonsuit was ordered, the plaintiff' having given no evidence of damage. The other eases having been settled out of Court, this was all the business.
