POVERTY BAY RELIEF FUND.
The employes of Messrs. E. Gibbons and Co., Niagara Saw Mills, Huia, Manukau, have raised amongst them the handsome subscription of £11 2s. to the fund for the relief of the sufferers by the Poverty Bay massacre, which Mr. Gillihrand, the Hon. Sec., has forwarded to us with the following remarks :—" Dear Sir, —We, the undersigned employes on the firm of Messrs E. Gibbons and Co., Niagara Mills, Huia. Manukau, beg to forward you our mite in aid of the Poverty Bay Fund, and at the same time fceg to express our deep sympathy with the sufferers at the lato massacre, and deeply regret it does not lay in our power to show our sympathy by a more liberal subscription."
