AUCKLAND. New Zealand Herald Office, Friday overling. Tho Customs Eorcnue received to-duy amounted to £591 3s. lid. Messrs. Harris and Turner sold to-day maize at Gs 9d per bushel, and Auckland potatoes at £A per ton. Messrs. Katon and Dewolf sold Otago potatoes at from £4 to £5 per ton. Mr. S. Cochrane held a fiale of surplus stores at tho Coramißeariat buildings. Ahovo 100 cases of sound cavendish tobacco sold ot from 81 to 9Jd per H>. in bond; sir casej, slightly damaged, brought 3Jd.; 18 cases, moro or less damaged, sold at 2 : Jd to 3 id. OTAGO. (From the Daily Times, Nor. 15.) The total amount of revenue received at tho Customs to-flny on goods passed for homo consumption was £591 oa lid. Both for local trade and for export there has been a good enquiry maintained ; but for tho reason that our stocks are at present email and ill-assorted, the demand for many articles ie difficult to supply, and transactions are in consequence limited. In flour thero has been no further change. Holders are firm at £24 and £32 respectively for Chilian and Adelaido ; but buyers have not bo far conceded tho advanced ratos a? to enter into any very heavy operations.
