Yesterday it blew a etiff gale from tho S. and S.SW. Thoro was consequently such a heavy bar that it was quito impracticable for any vessel. This morning it is still blowing pretty freshly, but the bar is emoother. 1h; Wnipa, Capt. Cook, brought down a barge of Mr. Young's for repairs ; she was snagged and sunk a few days ago a little above tho eoal mines while in tow of the Waipa, having a large cargo on board at tho time for Mr. Young, up-river stores. Mr. Young will bo a severe loser by the accident. Captain Cadell, on learning what had happened, placed a large government bargo at Capt. Cook's disposal, an'l with her assistance the sunken vessel was successfully raised, and brought down hero for repairs. Tho Kohoroa has not yet been recoveied, tho cold wet vnnl-her we have had lately interfering very much with the success of operations, which must necessarily, to a grest eiteut, bo conducted _in tho water. Several natives are employed in diving and filing the chains, &c, to her, necessary to raising her.
